Yeah, you can usually find the NME on the bottom shelf of the music mag bit in Borders. I used to buy it with my pocket money in the UK, I've never bought it since I've lived in the US...but I've seen it there, banished to the bottom shelves where the flimsy mags live.

Can you get NME in the States? I've never seen it on the newsstands, but I haven't really been much of a mag buyer in my older age. Back in the 80s, I used to love Star Hits, the imported version of Smash Hits. Still not sure why they bothered to change the name for the US audience.

@Heather, yeah, I saw Lou at Lollapalooza last year, he was great...and frustrated a lot of Band of Horses fans by playing waaay over his time slot. Heh, good old Lou.

@Celia, I'm much more on board with the newer more "sketch" like Gorillaz look. I think it's a bit darker, but yeah I sort of agree. I think poor Jamie got locked into his first idea of what the band should be, but Damon gets to change the musical direction at will.

Yes, it was exactly the same for me with Demon Days...(I sing out of tune too, but I also rap, and that can be scary sometimes..)
My second favorite at the moment is "To binge", so I would say that Little Dragon was a good choice for a collaboration ;)

Yeah, I think that's what I love most about Damon. All of his music needs multiple listens, and your favorite tracks on a given album change periodically to reflect a new found affection for a certain song. I've listened to the Blur albums countless times, and I think about once a year my favorites invariably change. The same with the Gorillaz albums. Demon Days went through a few hundred listens until the "Demon Days" track truly revealed its brilliance. I can't listen to it now without going all gospelly and belting it out (out of tune of course). I suspect my favorites will change on this one too. Right now I'm in love with Empire Ants and Rhinestone Eyes, but they're all so good...

I think the Murdoc on Twitter (and in general) isn't Damon. The tone of this NME thing was so descriptive and not at all "the voice" of Murdoc. I think Damon wrote it and then they backtracked and said it was Murdoc. There's not enough Gaga love for it to be the reeeeal Murdoc (because he's real you know). Who really knows though... Most people write 2D as Damon since he's the singer, it's all muddled isn't it?
