I was just nonchalantly perusing the youtubes when I came across wewewo7's upload of Damon hosting TOTP in '94. It's really quite impossible for this to be any more of its time, ahh Christmas charts...
What an innocent time it was. Gary Glitter's still a viable host for next week (why'd you do it Gary??), Damon's all sprite-like and cheery, and East 17 (bless 'em) are number one with "Stay".
The best quotes are Damon's shout out to Sting's past as a proper cool person in Quadrophenia (Ace Face!), and his comment about not knowing that Bonehead (of Oasis) played the cello...(precursor to upcoming battle of the bands era digs?).
