The first photos and video from Blur's Lyon gig tonight seem to show it as a bit tamer than the Hyde Park shows. French fans seem slightly less violent.

I think it's because blur are not very big in France (most people never heard of them, just know few songs vaguely), so they don't have a lot of huge fans like in UK, and therefore there were probably less excitement in the air. But well, it's true that we don't have the same culture with concerts, it's more about enjoying the music than being entertained like in a show. I usually prefer small venues like this, but for the blur reunion, I'm so glad I was in such a mess in Hyde Park, shouting the lyrics like everyone else.. :p
Yes I suspect the same for any American shows.
I almost wish I could've seen them in the UK to get the full experience. I'm worried that if they come to the US I'll be the only one belting out the songs, pogoing, and wearing a Fred Perry. American audiences are much more subdued than British ones!
