A BLUR SONG A DAY: Oily Water

I know I've posted about this one a lot, but this is probably one of my top 3 Blur songs. It's strange because it isn't a signature "Blur" sound, it's still a little bit "baggy" left over from Leisure.

When I first listened to Modern Life Is Rubbish, I didn't really rate this song. It was sort of a filler track to me, slightly less focused than the crisp sounds of For Tomorrow and Chemical World.
I think on about the fourth or fifth listen to the album I really got Oily Water.
It seems a bit more Graham than Damon, at least for the time period. It's a totally hypnotic track with sputtering lyrics and a fantastic, mental end.
