...is a band that wanted me to link to the stream of their new album Superhero Complex. Hey why not?
I got this email today, whilst microwaving one of those Birds Eye vegetable steam fresh things, then subsequently eating it straight from the bag:
"Hey Victoria,
This is Alex from The Morning Code, a New York based indie rock band! We've self-released our debut album, Superhero Complex, and would love for you to take a listen and consider featuring us on Victorian Horror. I'm not an accredited marketer either, just trying to get the word out bout my band! Also, I'm very confused about Monkey "Journey To The West". It's a band that's doing an opera? Or an opera doing a band? Anyway let me know if there are any other questions I can answer for you!"
So I set him straight about Monkey...then listened to their stuff. It's quite earnest, and perfect for montages of angsty high school dramas. Anyway, that's just my first impression...see what you think.
