Kanye's Kicks: You Lose

Alrighty, here's the first look at Kanye's shoe line for Louis Vuitton. Apparently they're based off a jacket he saw in Dune, and the big flap at the back is for tucking your skinny jeans into (or if you're Jay-Z your baggy ones)
I have to say, and this is coming from someone who is not well versed in sneaker culture, they're a bit boring.
I'm sure that's the point, the monochromatic red surely symbolizes something or other.
Kanye, you wanted us to just let you be great...try harder.
(except if they come in yellow, that's cool, and can I have some to pot plants in? O.K. Thanks.)
