Lupe Fiasco..last night's show recap continued...

So here are the rest of my Lupe videos and pictures from last night.
I've seen Lupe before at the Pitchfork music festival and at Lollapalooza, but never at a show just for him. He definitely took advantage of the hometown crowd...drawing out the intros to songs for dramatic effect; plenty of crowd participation etc... He picked the perfect city for filming his live concert DVD.
Towards the end of the show he took some time to talk about how great Chicago is, how great Obama is, and of course how great Lupe Fiasco is. He also took the opportunity to call for the end to all the violence in Chicago. Currently we're the murder capital of the country so hopefully his message gets through. Such declarations from any other musician would probably come across as crass or trite, but from Lupe, I sort of believe he really cares...
Most importantly though, the show was brilliant!
