Pitchfork gives glowing review to Monkey, and there's a new Gorillaz album on the way!

It's a good day to be a Damon Albarn fan. Not only have there been several news stories of late reporting that Damon and Jamie are working on a new Gorillaz album (albeit one with looser ties to Gorillaz than you'd expect), but the usually dead wrong Pitchfork Media has given the Monkey: Journey To The West album a 7.8! Now, if you're a British Albarn fan you've got even more luck as the opera Journey To The West embarks on a longer-term run at London's O2 arena, but hey I can't complain if I've already seen it. Hopefully with continued good reviews the show will return to the US (ahem...Chicago?)
