WEEKEND HORRORS..

1. Cheetos Natural white cheddar puffs..These things are amazing. They're in the healthy aisle at Jewel, with the more refined chips, like those cape cod ones and the Terra chips. They are way more cheesy than regular Cheetos, and healthier. They have no artificial flavors or color, and are trans-fat free! I know, I know...you're thinking that white cheddar is a pale imitation of the fluorescent orange normal Cheetos (literally). But I promise these are way better, and will change the way you think about puff-related food. I mean, who really needs to see their chips from 2 miles away anyway? Even the Cheeto tiger (does he have a name?) is smaller and more refined!

2. There Will Be Blood. This was also amazing. I saw it on Friday night. The music was done by Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood and is really fitting for the film- which is strange because it is a period piece about turn of the century oil prospecting, and the music is electronic for the most part. It's hard to explain the film... It's definitely one you need to see. It's very slow paced, and there are times when you think a bit too slow paced, but by the time you get to the end you want it to go on forever. There's one or two scenes that more than make up for some of the slower bits. Daniel Day Lewis is brilliant! It's definitely a departure from Paul Thomas Anderson's previous work, but you definitely know he directed it. I won't ruin it for you, but it lives up to its title. Two thumbs up, 5 stars etc...

3.Shameless. I just started watching season 1 of this show on my Neflix. It is a really funny, and brutally honest look into the lives of a struggling family living in a Manchester council house. The characters are despicable for the most part, all of them petty (or not so petty) criminals, but you love them anyway. The family has 6 kids who are surviving in spite of having the worlds worst Father. Their mother (initially presumed dead) has run off and left the kids to their own devices to pursue a new life as a lesbian. It has James McAvoy (from Last King of Scotland, and Atonement) in it, as well as Anne Marie Duff who played Queen Elizabeth I in the best ever "Elizabeth" related miniseries: "The Virgin Queen". It's immediately addicting, although I'm a bit stuck since only season 1 has been released in the U.S. I guess I'll have to find more creative ways than Netflix to keep watching. It's currently in season 5 in the U.K. on Channel 4.
